Minimum order quantities for garment production in Portugal.

Production terms for new clients:
MOQ: 150 pieces per colour per style
First order: around 1000 pieces total
Payment: 50% before production starts + 50% before the order is shipped

Understanding our MOQ

For new clients, production usually starts at 150 pieces per colour per style. Each colour and each style is treated as a separate production reference, allowing our factory to maintain production efficiency, quality consistency and stable manufacturing timelines.

First order volumes usually start around 1000 pieces in total, depending on the product category, fabric construction, number of colours, printing techniques, embroidery requirements, washing processes and overall garment complexity.

Smaller quantities may occasionally be possible during development phases, for established clients already working with our factory, or for specific categories such as Eveningwear & Occasion Dresses, where technically complex pieces may sometimes start from lower quantities. These cases are assessed individually according to capacity, production history and product complexity.

Why minimum quantities matter

Garment manufacturing involves multiple production stages including product development, pattern making, sampling, fabric sourcing, cutting, sewing, printing, finishing, quality control and logistics coordination. Each stage requires time, technical preparation and factory resources.

With around 50 experienced seamstresses and structured production lines, our factory is optimized for medium and large-scale apparel manufacturing rather than ultra-small batch production.

Maintaining realistic MOQs allows us to protect product quality, production stability and delivery consistency while offering international fashion brands direct factory communication and reliable industrial execution.

Sampling and product development

Sampling and product development are handled separately from bulk production quantities. Before production starts, we support clients through technical development, fabric sourcing, pattern making, prototypes and fit revisions.

This development phase helps both sides validate construction, sizing, fabrics and finishing details before moving into structured garment production.

Every project is different, and production possibilities may vary depending on timelines, materials, complexity and factory capacity at a given moment.

Payment terms

For first-time clients, payment is usually structured in two stages: 50% before production starts and 50% before the order is shipped.

These conditions help secure materials, production planning and factory capacity before work begins, while keeping the final balance linked to the completed order.

Payment conditions may vary depending on project scope, production history, product complexity and the commercial relationship established with each client.
